Officially the best tea room in Derbyshire

When you come to our tea room, you’ll experience first hand why we’ve just won the prestigious Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards' award for the best tea room or coffee house in Derbyshire for both 2010 and 2011.  Here we are at the 2010 final receiving our award from Celebrity Chef Brian Turner of Ready Steady Cook.

So how did we beat four other hot contenders to be the number one tea room or coffee house in Derbyshire?

Perhaps it’s our...
  • Daily selection of homemade soups, pies, scones and cakes
  • Delicious desserts – whether you’re in the mood for sweet, chocolatey or fruity
  • Local ingredients, for traditional Peak District cuisine
  • Carefully selected hot and cold drinks – including locally brewed beer
  • Wine list that’s designed to complement and delight your palate
  • Careful attention to detail and friendly helpful staff
  • Our Superb Afternoon Teas

Or maybe it’s because in summer, we serve fruits, veggies and salads from our very own garden, or that we source all our meat from the award-winning Glossop butcher J.W. Mettrick.

We make sure our tea room offers you everything we love – great food, fantastic views of the countryside and an ambience that makes you feel right at home. So come and experience it for yourself.
